  1. Appreciate the prevalence of mental health issues in elite sport and its impact on the sporting community
  2. Appreciate the major stressors and environmental factors that negatively influence athlete mental health
  3. Describe common symptoms and presentations of mental health symptoms and disorders in elite sport
  4. Understand important principles of prevention and treatment strategies to reduce the mental health burden in elite sport
  5. Be familiar with the IOC Sport Mental Health Assessment Tool (SMHAT) and the IOC Sport Mental Health Recognition Tool (SMHRT)
